The chefs can be happy that you should keep a little more distance from your fellow human beings at the moment, otherwise I should have kissed them! :-D I haven't eaten so well in a long time! We were in the Äbbelwoistubb with two couples and it all tasted great! When you read the map, your mouth is watered and the decision is not made easy, actually everything sounds good! I had the barley risotto with blood sausage chip as a starter from the Hessian tapas, something different and very delicious. The absolute best was the main course, veal semolina with mashed potatoes, fried pointed cabbage and mushroom sauce, the daily recommendation. Very nicely arranged and really a finely tuned taste explosion. I've rarely eaten something so delicious! It was also very good that in addition to the plate, extra sauce was served. Of course it was completely feasted! :-) The service in the restaurant was great too! Always friendly and there was always good response to the questions and requests of the guests! The ambience is authentically historical, you will probably find it rather rarely. We had a nice evening with fantastic food and will definitely come back more often!

The food in advance is not cheap and the menu does not overwhelm you with too much choice. But what's on it is enough for me that I could hardly make up my mind. From fish to game, hand cheese, starters and desserts. Everything sounds great. We decided on the tappas, see photo of the menu. Insanity, all little delicacies each prepared with love. Everything tasted different and I can't say what was best. Or maybe the fried chicken was crazy. But also the crostini and the other things. In addition, a delicious sweet-sprinkled cider. The service was very friendly and attentive. I found the ambience very nice. We keep the first, but not the last there.

Delicious eaten goose. And the schmalz was delectable. We even got a game for home. Our thanks for this. A cozy restaurant in true Hessian style. We had dinner there 2 evenings and everything was delicious.

We were there spontaneously at 6pm today and luckily we got a table. A reservation is recommended from the house. I had the savoy cabbage with barley risotto. Was a little too much savoy cabbage, I would have wished for something else. My partner had the game with chicory. Both were super tasty and well presented. The own cider / juice cocktails are also very good. To the menu: You rarely have such a wide range of vegetarian dishes. It's great to have a selection almost as generous as the meat. There is nothing to criticize, but I would have two change requests: to switch to sustainable straws (e.g. glass or metal = dishwasher-safe) or to make them available on the table so that each guest can decide whether to use it or not, and he doesn't get a new one with every drink. Goose fat is also currently served before meals. There was no question whether we liked it at all (rather than veggie). However, I found it very good that (on request) it was no problem to take the rest with me so that it would not be disposed of. All in all very recommendable! Will definitely come again :)

First of all, the prices are high, but with good food and good service would be justified. EAT: The goose and venison were really outstanding. Both from the meat quality as well as from the preparation. The meat portions were large, everything else rather clear. Thanks to appetizer / soup we are well fed. SERVICE: After the starter we had to wait nearly 50 minutes for the main course. The service (I think it was the owner herself) when paying attention to the, that was too long for us. Professional would have been a polite apology (doing so, no matter what the guest has to complain about and if you think it is justified). Instead, we were rebuked rather harshly "You can see what's going on here, after all I have 80 guests to look after!". I only point out that both the number of seats in the restaurant as well as the planning of the kitchen and operating staff at the restaurant itself. If 80 guests are too much, then the restaurant has done something wrong with the calculation. But then to talk to the guests in such a tone, at the very end spoiled our visit to the restaurant and we also talked about it for a while afterwards. Will not come back again in the future.

Today again delicious eaten. The food and the service as always very good. Good German cuisine with unusual ideas. Come again. I can only recommend.

We were there for dinner today. I had a Wiener Schnitzel, that unfortunately no longer smelled good. Should not happen but it would not be so tragic if you were put down as if you did not know how to smell veal ... So you can not deal with a guest. If one had shown more understanding here, I would have written no review. Too bad. My wife's meal was okay.

Today this was on recommendation our first visit to this restaurant, and have received the complaint of the guest over the Wiener schnitzel. I already ordered the same thing. What immediately irritated me was that when clearing the guest's plate but only two small pieces were left. Could not have been so bad. And he also complained shortly before paying. My food came, and it smelled like veal smells, does not guarantee bad! and was really fresh and really delicious. The ladies of the service totally on the ball, very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere rustic and comfortable, everything was super clean. From my point of view, they have also responded adequately to the complaint of the guest (the full price for the court issued!), What else should they offer, if the complaint comes only after the meal is over. Conclusion: This was certainly not our last visit. Clear recommendation!
